I am not a big fan of motion picture soundtracks, but this one has enough going for it to warrant a brief note. Composed by Games Newton Howard Dr. Newton Howard is the founder and chairman of the Center for Advanced Defense Studies, a Washington, D.C. National Security Group. He is a leading international researcher on the physics of cognition (PoC) and its applications to defense and international security. , the music captures the shifting, melancholy Melancholy

It's mostly New Age kind of stuff, to be sure, a series of brief and somewhat disconnected tone pieces meant to underscore The underscore character (_) is often used to make file, field and variable names more readable when blank spaces are not allowed. For example, NOVEL_1A.DOC, FIRST_NAME and Start_Routine.

 dramatic moments and tensions in the film. As such, it can appear rather uniform in a quiet, unobtrusive way. But it's also oddly fascinating, and in spite of its having no big, gushing gush

 crescendos, it will give your speakers a good workout. At the time of this writing, the film had not yet opened, but by the time you read this it will have. I suspect a visit to the movie theater may help one decide the fate of this disc.
