When it comes to achieving success, Sneaky Sound System clearly knows a thing or two. Comprised of three highly talented individuals, the electro dance group has taken honors at the ARIA awards and broken records all over the place.

Quite surprisingly, the group has managed to achieve this level of success without affiliation by a major recording label. Actually, the group has pretty much managed to achieve their success all on their own. When no one was interested in releasing their album, they decided to set up their own label and release it on their own. That proved to be an excellent decision as their self-titled debut album has since sold more than 100,000 units since it was released in August of 2006. The album also produced three hit singles; ?I Love It?, ?UFO? and ?Picture.? Each of the songs features the unique pop style which Sneaky Sound System has quickly become identified with producing.

Along with the two ARIA awards, Sneaky Sound System has also taken home two AIR Awards, one for best independent artist and another for best performing independent single/EP. The latter was garnered for their Funky House Music tinged hit single ?UFO.? The Australian Independent Record Labels Association, or AIR as it is frequently known, was organized in order to acknowledge local labels and acts that were not previously affiliated with any major label. That is certainly the case with Sneaky Sound System.

Without a big record label to back them, the group has had to rely on nothing but their talent. That certainly appears to have been sufficient as it has driven them to the top of their category not once but multiple times. The fact that they were almost immediately picked up by the Scissor Sisters and Robbie Williams to support their acts on tour obviously did not hurt matters.

More recently, Sneaky Sound System has also received attention from a number of other big names in pop as well. In addition to joining the previously mentioned artists, Sneaky Sound System has also lent support to Nick Cave and they have even been drafted to create a song for Kylie Minogue, which has been described in glowing terms by music critics and hints at a level of talent that is steadily maturing.

While their debut album met with tremendous success, it is their second album that fans have been awaiting. The album has been titled 2 and is slated to contain not only a wealth of new material but some of the best songs from their hit debut album as well. The group has already gained a tremendous amount of notoriety from overseas fans who were clearly in the mood for something different and have found it with the eclectic mix that Sneaky Sound System provides. If the group?s second album is even half as successful as their debut album, and it is predicted to be even more so, the group could find themselves facing international stardom before long.
