Smiths Aerospace Receives Outstanding Service Award on T-50.


SEOUL, Korea -- Smiths Aerospace has received an outstanding service award from Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) for their work on the Voice and Data Recorder A data recorder is a piece of equipment which records data, and may also be called a data logger.

Examples of data recorders are:
  • A flight data recorder (FDR), a piece of recording equipment used to collect specific aircraft performance data.

The T-50 Golden Eagle is an early 21st century Korean-American supersonic trainer. It is developed by Korean Aerospace Industries in conjunction with Lockheed Martin.
 Advanced & Lead-in Fighter Trainer aircraft. The award is based on outstanding performance on modifications for the VADR(R) to meet T-50 update requirements. The award was presented at the T-50 Symposium held at KAI Sacheon facility on Sunday 16 October.

Smiths Aerospace has the following systems on the T-50:

--Cockpit control panels, battery charging system, caution / warning system (Long Island, New York New York, state, United States
