 in Jackson. Dr. Ron Mumbower of Jackson officiated the Christian ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Rob Smith of Richland and Mrs. Tammy Hutson of Clinton and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Smith of Richland and Mr. and Mrs. Hoy Hawkins of Brandon. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lane Pattie of Summit and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Cutrer of McComb and Mr. Tom Pattie and the late Audrey Pattie of McComb.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Mort Cheri ivory lace over satin gown with a full skirt. Swarovski crystal and pearls adorned the bodice and hem, with a chapel train. She wore a chapel-length veil trimmed with French satin.

Tara's "something new" was a pair of pearl earrings and a South Sea pearl and baguette diamond necklace given by the bride's father. The bride carried a formal bouquet of roses and berries and tied with French satin. A forty-year-old tatted bookmark served as "something borrowed," and an antique diamond cross from the bride's grandmother marked "something old." A delicate embroidered em·broi·der

Music during the ceremony was provided by organist Tricia Dennis of Madison and vocalist Pare Prestage of Roanoke, Virginia.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds left in a white horse-drawn carriage for a brief historic ride around the Mississippi State Capitol The Mississippi State Capitol is the state capitol building of the U.S. state of Mississippi and was designed by architect Theodore Link. Housing the Mississippi Legislature, it is located in the state capital of Jackson. , the Governor's Mansion, and the Old Capitol, then arriving at the Old Capitol Inn for a reception with friends and guests honoring the new couple. Upon entering the reception, the bride and groom enjoyed a champagne toast, followed by the couple's first dance to "Unforgettable." The bride's cake rested upon an antique silver plateau adorned with miniature French smilax smilax, common name for a florists' plant of two separate genera (Asparagus and Smilax), both of the family Liliaceae (lily family, although some botanists recognize smilax as a separate family, the Similacaceae).  and a table covered with rose petals. Chic candelabra adorned the large round guest tables, which complemented the powerful ten-foot tropical floral arrangement on the main food table.

The food presentation was created by Chef Bruce Cain. The tables were adorned with black and white table linens and decorated with assorted cheeses, seasonal fresh fruit, steamy artichoke and shrimp dip with crostini, grilled lemon and lime marinated loin loin (loin) the part of the back between the thorax and pelvis.

The groom's cake, designed by Sandra Glover of Brandon, was chocolate cake with French chocolate icing and a scroll design. The cake was adorned with fresh chocolate-dipped strawberries.

The dance floor was crowded with the wedding party and guests for a festive evening of dance and entertainment with music provided by the fabulous These Days with Jewel Bass.

A dinner was given on the eve On the Eve (Накануне in Russian) is the third novel by famous Russian writer Ivan Turgenev, best known for his short stories and the novel Fathers and Sons.  of the wedding, hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Lane Pattie in honor of family and friends at the Capitol Club, which provided a panoramic sunset view of downtown Jackson. Designer floral arrangements for the weekend nuptials were presented by Wendy Putt of Fresh Cut.

On the day of the ceremony, the wedding party enjoyed a gourmet brunch hosted by the family of the bride's mother.
