Smart Wireless to Release USB Flash Memory with Fingerprint Authentication Capability.


Tokyo, Japan, Oct 7, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Tokyo-based Smart Wireless Corporation will introduce Safe Flash, a compact, lightweight USB USB
 in full Universal Serial Bus

Type of serial bus that allows peripheral devices (disks, modems, printers, digitizers, data gloves, etc.) to be easily connected to a computer.
 flash memory that requires fingerprint authentication for use. Embedded with a digital signal microprocessor, which enables intelligent authentication, the USB protects data from being accessed via a PC and other external devices.

Safe Flash is also equipped with software that supports USB functionality to enable secure logon to Windows applications, data encryption data encryption, the process of scrambling stored or transmitted information so that it is unintelligible until it is unscrambled by the intended recipient. Historically, data encryption has been used primarily to protect diplomatic and military secrets from foreign , screen locking, automatic logon to the Web, and multiple user sharing.

The USB supports Windows98, 2000, and XP, with its memory size of 64/128/256/512MB available. It measures 77.2x27.7x17.1mm.
