 (SRP SRP - A data link layer protocol. ) software, today announced Shanghai Shanghai (shăng`hī`, shäng`hī`), city (1994 est. pop. 12,980,000), in, but independent of, Jiangsu prov., E China, on the Huangpu (Whangpoo) River where it flows into the Chang (Yangtze) estuary.  Power (Shidong), one of the Shanghai Power companies, selected the Smallworld 3 SRP solution to design and build applications to serve its spatial information and mapping needs. Financial details of the transactions were not disclosed. Shanghai Power (Shidong) provides electricity services to roughly one-third of the Shanghai region including the new district, Pudong.
