Small device packs big storage; Iomega's Micro Mini lets you store and go.

Whether you're a "clipper clipper, type of sailing ship, designed for speed. Long and narrow, the clipper had the greatest beam aft of the center; the bow cleaved the waves; and the ship carried, besides topgallant and royal sails, skysails and moonrakers—a veritable cloud of sails.  2.0's capabilities mean you can transfer information up to seven times faster than USB 1.1. The Micro Mini is currently available in 64MB and 128MB configurations, with 256MB units expected later this year.

The device ships with Iomega's Active Disk technology, so there's no need to load software onto your PC, Mac, or Linux machine; simply plug in the Micro Mini to launch the applications. Also included in the package: three changeable color caps, a neck chain, a key clip, and a USB extension cord. The device is clearly aimed at the trend-setting college crowd, but for those not ready to "go gently," into maturity, it's still a cool (and practical) way to store and transfer (www.iomega.com; $69.95)
