Sleeping bird dogs.

Do you think the only way to eat a hot dog is on a bun? Then you've got to try this recipe! These bird dogs stay warm because they are snuggled in a blanket of pasta.

YOU WILL NEED:

12 manicotti noodles 12 turkey hot dogs 1 6-ounce package of lowfat sliced mozzarella cheese 2 15-ounce cans of pizza sauce 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS:

1. With an adult, cook the manicotti noodles according to the directions on the package, and then drain.

2. Cut a lengthwise slit in each turkey hot dog, and then fill the slit with 1/3 slice of mozzarella cheese.

3. Put one cheese-filled hot dog in each noodle, and then place them in a greased, 9x13-inch baking dish.

4. Combine the pizza sauce, oregano, and pepper in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Pour the mixture over the noodles, and sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese.

5. Preheat the oven to 350[degrees] F, and then bake the dish for about 25 minutes.
