Sleep is important to your child's grades. (Lifelines).


Parents want their children to get plenty of sleep, in part to help them do well in school. But recent research shows that common bedtime bedtime Sleep disorders The time when one attempts to fall asleep–as distinguished from the time when one gets into bed  practices may in fact be keeping children from getting to sleep at night.

Watching television and working on a computer--two practices that many parents believe relaxes their child--may instead be rousing rous·ing

The culprits are the bright lights behind TV and computer screens, which act as a stimulant stimulant, any substance that causes an increase in activity in various parts of the nervous system or directly increases muscle activity. Cerebral, or psychic, stimulants act on the central nervous system and provide a temporary sense of alertness and well-being as  to the brain. Shutting down electronic entertainment devices at least 30 minutes before bedtime can allow a child's sleep to arrive in a more timely fashion.
