Slate announced for election of 2005 TAPPI officers and Board of Directors.TAPPI TAPPI Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry members will have the opportunity to elect new officers and five new members of the Board of Directors this fall. TAPPI's Nominating/Honors Committee recently submitted a slate of candidates for president, vice president, and five director positions. By letter ballot or by electronic voting Electronic voting (also known as e-voting) is a term encompassing several different types of voting, embracing both electronic means of casting a vote and electronic means of counting votes. later this year, the Association's members will elect two officers and five candidates to fill openings on the Association's 15-member Board of Directors beginning in March 2005. The Committee selected these candidates from the Association's member groups and from individual TAPPI members. The TAPPI Bylaws The rules and regulations enacted by an association or a corporation to provide a framework for its operation and management. Bylaws may specify the qualifications, rights, and liabilities of membership, and the powers, duties, and grounds for the dissolution of an specify that other nominations may be submitted to the Executive Director's office before November 1, 2004, provided that each nomination is signed by at least 1% of the voting members and provided further that each nominee specifies in writing his or her willingness to accept the nomination. In the event that no other nominations are made in this manner, the ballot distributed to the voting membership will be limited to the above-mentioned candidates provided by the Nominating/Honors Committee.
