Skamp International Ltd, which is responsible for the sales and distribution of the Skynet / Skamp In-vehicle communications, security and tracking products across seventeen countries of Central and Eastern Europe had their new Central European Monitoring Centre officially opened by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales on the 1st November 2000.

The official opening took place shortly after His Royal Highness landed at Sliac airport in central Slovakia on a visit to the Region. Prince Charles saw a practical demonstration of how the Skamp system places a vehicle under an invisible Telematic bubble of security, a 'space age' wall of protection.

Skamp / Skynet products couple GSM (cellular), GPS (Global Positioning System), SMS (short messaging service) and a remotely activated immobilising system into a vehicle. In combination, these technologies uniquely "wrap" the protected vehicle in an invisible "net" of radio, electrical, electronic, mechanical, ultrasonic, telematics, and ever-watching satellite protection that spans national boundaries and continents.
