 are the first two lateral partners to join the firm in 2001. Fourteen lateral partners joined the firm in 2000. Ms. Hayashi and Ms. Kirsch will be members of Skjerven Morrill MacPherson's Employment and Litigation An action brought in court to enforce a particular right. Ms. Kirsch joined Berliner Cohen in 1996 and was named a partner in 2000. Before that, she had practiced at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro, now Pillsbury Winthrop. In her practice, Ms. Kirsch represents a variety of clients in wrongful termination and employment discrimination litigation and wage and hour issues. She is also experienced in general business litigation and disability discrimination in public accommodations. Ms. Kirsch earned her Juris Doctor degree in 1991, cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law The Santa Clara University School of Law is a private, non-profit law school located in Santa Clara, California. It was founded in 1912 as a part of Santa Clara University, and is known for its diverse student body and excellent reputations in high tech and public service law. . She has been a delegate to the Santa Clara County Bar Association's Conference of Delegates since 1992, and is active in other County Bar committees. Her recent speaking engagements include "Privacy in the Workplace," "Family Medical Leave Act," "Pitfalls in Discovery," and "Personnel Law Strategies for Managers and Supervisors in California."
