Skills code wins award.EIGHT organisations have been rewarded for introducing a new system which aims improve the skills of the workforce.Manager of Northumberland Northumberland (nôrthŭm`bərlənd), county (1991 pop. 300,600), 2,019 sq mi (5,229 sq km), NE England. Northernmost of the English counties, it is separated from Scotland by the Cheviot Hills and the Tweed River, and borders on the Workforce Development, Lorraine Lorraine (lôrĕn`), Ger. Lothringen, region and former province, NE France, bordering in the N on Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany, in the E on Alsace, in the S on Franche-Comté, and in the W on Champagne. Pattison and workforce development co-ordinator, Jenienne Hinchcliffe, have implemented a Code of Practice for all training providers delivering qualifications to Northumberland's Early Years practitioners. The Code of Practice is intended to improve the quality, delivery, standards and retention of workers to improve the skills of the workforce.
