Molly, the 6th grade heroine, is caught in a nightmare-like situation after her parents go missing and her "supposed" long-lost uncle comes to care for her. Molly knows that the gaunt stranger is no relative of hers (despite his claims) and that she must rely on the courage of her "warrior" heritage to escape from him and to find out where her parents might be. Through a series of mystical dreams she begins to see a connection between the mysterious uncle and the disappearance of her parents.
