The March 23-29 event, hosted by U.S. Figure Skating U.S. Figure Skating (USFS), officially called the United States Figure Skating Association or USFSA, is the national sport governing body for figure skating in the United States. in partnership with LA-based AEG, will determine the number of skaters each country can send to the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. Los Angeles was selected over Helsinki, Finland and Budapest, Hungary. The world championships were last hosted by U.S. Figure Skating in 2003 in Washington, D.C.
