 in all business sectors, the 18th annual list puts Skanska in the company of IT heavyweights, ranking ahead of big names like General Motors and Cingular Wireless. This is Skanska's sixth appearance on the list.

InformationWeek recognized Skanska for its efforts to streamline its communications systems In telecommunication, a communications system is a collection of individual communications networks, transmission systems, relay stations, tributary stations, and data terminal equipment (DTE) usually capable of interconnection and interoperation to form an integrated whole.  and to better serve its clients' needs through technology.

Customer service was also the primary reason for the implementation of a new client relationship management platform that is unique to Skanska and its client-centric model. Designed to deliver global expertise to local levels, this new system not only serves traditional sales and contact management needs, but is also used to assess risk associated with potential client projects. Those systems, along with a special pre-construction suite of products, allow for better cost projections and, ultimately, better service to clients. Skanska also standardized standardized
