Skanska Secures Construction Project in Norway for SEK 370 M.


STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Skanska (STO:SKAB) has been contracted to build an office and shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  complex in Kristiansand in southern Norway for NOK NOK

In cooperation with the customer, Skanska has been responsible for the development of the project, which comprises 34,000 square meters of renovation and additions to the Kvartal 38 property in central Kristiansand. The assignment involves offices as well as a shopping center, with related parking.

Preparatory work has begun and construction begins in the summer. The project is scheduled to be completed in December 2008.

Skanska's major projects in progress in Norway include two assignments at the expansion of the Ormen Lange Ormen Lange is the largest natural gas field in development on the Norwegian continental shelf.
