Six Scudder Closed-End Funds Declare Distributions.

Six of the closed-end funds managed by Zurich Scudder Investments, Inc. declared distributions today. All distributions are payable August 31, 2001 to shareholders of record on August 15, 2001. The "Ex Date" is August 13, 2001.

The previous monthly dividend was $0.075 per share. The Fund's initial offering was April 21, 1988.
