Six Elgin Community College faculty members were recognized by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development for their teaching and leadership excellence in institutions of higher education.
Six Elgin Community College Elgin Community College is a post secondary educational institution which awards Associate of Arts degrees. It was founded in 1949 as part of Elgin Area School District U46. faculty members were recognized by the
National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development for their
teaching and leadership excellence in institutions of higher education.
Recipients of the NISOD NISOD National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award were: Alison Douglas, assistant
professor of English; Gretl Kramer, professor emeritus; Connie Orbeta,
graphic design professor; Dan Kernler, assistant professor of math;
Linda Hefferin, management professor; and Ronald Kowalczyk, adjunct
paralegal paralegal n. a non-lawyer who performs routine tasks requiring some knowledge of the law and procedures, employed by a law office or who works free-lance as an independent for various lawyers. faculty. NISOD is an organization dedicated to the
professional development of faculty, administrators, and staff, and to
the continued improvement of teaching and learning, with the ultimate
goal of student success. NISOD has members from more than 700 community
colleges around the world.
