Six Flags (NYSE: SIX) is the world's largest chain of amusement parks and theme parks and is headquartered in New York City. There are 20 such parks run by Six Flags. Theme Parks has once again taken the art of the thrill to the extreme with the announcement of The Riddler's Revenge -- the world's tallest and fastest stand-up roller coaster A stand-up roller coaster is a roller coaster designed to have the passengers stand through the course of the ride. ``Thrill rides based on world-famous characters are terrific brand extensions, and no one does it better than Six Flags. The Riddler's persona is perfectly suited for this exciting new thrill ride and makes a great companion to the already-popular rides also based on DC Comics icons -- Batman and Superman."
Themed to the diabolical character Edward Nygma (aka The Riddler) from the Batman legend, the adventure begins as guests are drawn -- mindlessly -- through a glaring green-neon entrance, disguised as a question mark, deep into the confines of The Riddler's lime-green industrial laboratory. Once inside, guests will witness mysterious and chaotic experiments of ``mind-bending'' proportions.
Somewhat puzzled and unsure, guests will board the warped scientist's latest standing-room-only invention -- The Riddler's Revenge. Standing four abreast and strapped in sleek green bullet-nosed trains, riders climb 16 stories into the unknown before plummeting almost straight down at 65 miles per hour.
The stunning experience intensifies as guests fly up and over a record 124-foot-tall vertical loop, through two over-the-top diving loops and over a 360-degree loop, before heading into a 250-foot-long high-speed spiral and venturing head over heels two more times through each of the barrel rolls.
