The Bijou isn't the only place to see movies, naturally. The big guys at the local malls are bringing new flicks to see as well.

Most happily, one of the new films is "Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit." The cheese-munching inventor Wallace and his trusty (and smart) dog Gromit are on the case when a veggie-chomping marauder MARAUDER. One who, while employed in the army as a soldier, commits a larceny or robbery in the neighborhood of the camp, or while wandering away from the army. Merl. Repert. h.t.  is destroying local gardens. For fans of the three previous Wallace & Gromit shorts - the Oscar-winning `A Close Shave' and `The Wrong Trousers,' and "A Grand Day Out' - the new feature length film will be a dream come true.

`Curse of the Were-Rabbit' opens today at both Cinemark and Cinema World, as does the Cameron Diaz and Toni Colette sister flick "In Her Shoes" and the sports betting drama "Two for the Money.'

Cinemark's also adding "Waiting," a comedy set in a restaurant and `The Gospel,' an ensemble piece about a successful R&B singer (Boris Kodjoe) who returns home when his father (Clifton Powell), a church pastor, gets ill.

"Proof," starring Gwenyth Palrow is opening at Cinema World.

As Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel used to say, "The balcony is closed."
