The Veraz solution will enable Sirius both to expand cost-effectively to other U.S. or international cities and to meet the demands of the rapidly growing wholesale VoIP switching market.

Sirius Telecommunications provides switch services, switch partitions, and private line services to large international telecom carriers. In deploying Veraz's programmable ControlSwitch, Sirius will shift its network to a centralized, automated, software-driven network and thus enable Sirius to better streamline its operations. Additionally, the use of Veraz's I-Gate 4000 PRO media gateways creates the opportunity for Sirius to reduce other recurring operational costs such as power consumption and required real estate at any future expansion locations.

"After extensive research and evaluation of leading NGN (Next Generation Networks) An umbrella term for mixed voice and data networks running over the IP protocol.
