Sirenza Microdevices Ships One Millionth Personal Handyphone System (PHS) Transceiver IC.

BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- Sirenza Microdevices, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMDI) today announced that it has shipped its one millionth PHS transceiver to major handset manufacturers in Asia from the ML product family recently acquired from Micro Linear Corporation. Sirenza's family of 1.9GHz PHS transceivers integrate transmit, receive, and synthesizer functions into a single silicon germanium (SiGe) IC and were the industry's first products in mass production to include an on-chip, +21dBm power amplifier. The PHS transceiver line is designed for ease of use and can be operated with all common PHS baseband ICs on the market today.
