[TM] light source, as demonstrated in a new generation of micro display projection HDTVs at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV, is driven by Sirenza's PowerMax[TM] power amplifier module. The rugged PowerMax PA[TM] provides LIFI[TM] with 170 watts of RF output power and a power-added efficiency of nearly 70 percent.

"We are pleased to provide the RF power for such an exciting new product," stated Joe Johnson, Sirenza's chief technology officer. "We combined our proprietary LDMOS LDMOS Laterally Diffused Metal Oxide Semiconductor
LDMOS Lateral DMOS
LDMOS Lightly-Doped Drain Metal-Oxide Semiconductor
LDMOS Lateral Diffusion Mosfet
building blocks with our PowerMax PA[TM] platform to produce a high performance, custom product meeting LUXIM's stringent requirements at a competitive price."

"Our manufacturing expertise in the U.S., Germany and Asia allows us to bring products like the PowerMax PA[TM] to the competitive consumer marketplace," added Jeff Gudewicz, Sirenza's standard product business unit director. "Our long history of efficient manufacture of RF power modules in very high volumes to support the CATV (Community Antenna TV) The original name for cable TV. It used a single antenna at the highest location in the community in order to deliver a quality signal to homes in areas with hilly terrain or other interference.  end market is a perfect fit for this strategic product line."

"We are thrilled that LIFI[TM] will be the first to bring solid state reliability to a high volume production HDTV (High Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards that offer the highest resolution and sharpest picture. Although some HDTV sets are available in standard (rather square) screen sizes, the overwhelming majority of sets are wide screen, which eliminates  light source and Sirenza's PowerMax PA[TM] enabled us to meet our performance and time-to-market goals," stated Tony McGettigan, LUXIM CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "The PowerMax PA[TM] delivers LIFI[TM] efficient RF power that meets the reliability and price expectations of consumer applications."
