Also known as "monolithic microwave/millimeter-wave IC," MMICs combine transistors and passive devices (resistors, capacitors, etc.  low noise amplifiers (LNAs). These LNAs offer sub-1dB noise figure and high linearity in an easy-to-use active-biased gain block configuration. Fully integrated impedance matching circuitry eliminates the need for external matching components and stability-compromising series feedback, and on-chip active bias circuitry helps to eliminate the risk of performance degradation associated with process threshold voltage variation. These new RF MMICs are very compact, easily integrated, high performance LNA LNA Low-Noise Amplifier

"This level of performance in a cascadable 50 Ohm MMIC makes these LNAs ideal solutions for high dynamic range wireless infrastructure receiver front-ends. The SPF-5 products offer an exceptional combination of excellent noise figure, high linearity, bias flexibility, and ease-of-use," stated Jeff Gudewicz, Sirenza's SBU SBU St. Bonaventure University (St. Bonaventure, New York)
