Singlefin Grows User Base and Names Three New Executives to Management Team.

CARDIFF BY THE SEA, Calif. -- Former Websense VP Carrie Carlander, Marketing Expert Jay Hopkins, and Former Chairman and CEO of OneTouch Systems Dennis Bertken Join the San Diego-based Messaging Management and Protection Company

Singlefin, a Messaging Management and Protection company located in San Diego County, has announced the recent additions to the company's Executive Management team. Carrie Carlander, former Vice President of Finance and Administration of Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBSN) has joined Singlefin as Chief Financial Officer. Dennis Bertken has been named to Singlefin's Board of Directors and Jay Hopkins holds the Vice President of Marketing title.

Singlefin's recent hires are due to the company's tremendous growth. In the past six months, the company has tripled its user base to over seven million users and is continuing to show steady client wins as the company's managed services proves the effective way to win the war on Spam, viruses, phishing, and all other network threats. In addition, the company recently launched the world's first-ever managed Web and Instant Messaging filters.

Carlander will oversee the financial management of Singlefin, accounting and financial planning. She will use her expertise in finance and with start-ups to establish connections necessary for growth. At Websense, Inc., Carlander completed two-rounds of funding prior to the company's March 2000 IPO. She holds a BA from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA from San Diego State University.

As a member of the Singlefin Board of Directors, Bertken will provide strategic direction in all aspects of the company. Bertken is a well known executive of several high-technology companies throughout Silicon Valley and Southern California. He has helped build, merge, acquire and sell companies over the past 20 years. Bertken's most recent stint was as Chairman and CEO of OneTouch Systems, the largest interactive distance learning company with customers in 40 countries. As CEO, Bertken expanded the company's strategic partnerships internationally including Mexico, Brazil, Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe. He will bring that vision and ability to implement strategic growth to Singlefin's business.

Hopkins, Vice President of Marketing, has worked with Jacoby at three different companies. Jacoby's familiarity with Hopkins' marketing experience and charge brought Hopkins from the Northwest where he was working in the wine business. He also has experience in the telecommunications, energy and e-commerce industries with advertising, PR and marketing. He has a degree in Communications and a Master of Arts in Technical Communications.
