Single point access created for mental health information in Ontario.


Mental Health Service Information Ontario was launched by ConnexOntario Health Services health services Managed care The benefits covered under a health contract  Information, to serve as a single point of access for Ontario residents.

MHSIO will offer 24-hour access to information about mental health services and supports anywhere in the province. Accessible by toll-free telephone and internet, MHSIO will provide service in more than 140 different languages.

ConnexOntario has developed this service in collaboration with organizations that include community and hospital based mental health agencies, the Ontario Federation of Community Mental Health and Addiction Programs, the Canadian Mental Health Association--Ontario Division and consumer-survivor community based organizations.

ConnexOntario also operates the provincial Drug and Alcohol Registry of Treatment and the Ontario Problem Gambling Problem gambling is an urge to gamble despite harmful negative consequences or a desire to stop. The term is preferred to compulsive gambling among many professionals, as few people described by the term experience true compulsions in the clinical sense of the word.  Helpline, all funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care long-term care (LTC),
