Singers' organist retires; Singers.
Margaret Green has retired from her position of accompanist.
She is an Associate of the London College of Music and in 1988 she was awarded an Honorary Diploma for her contribution to the college.
She is well known as a piano tutor to children and became the organist at Our Lady of Lourdes The apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes began when Bernadette Soubirous, a 14-year old peasant girl from Lourdes, when questioned by her mother, admitted that she had seen a "lady" in the cave of Massabielle, about a mile from the town, on 11 February, 1858, while she was gathering Catholic Church at Sheepridge at the age of 14 - a position she still holds 60 years later.
She has been succeeded as accompanist by Suzanne Smelt.
