SimpliCT Is the First Standalone Voice Processing System With CTR21 Approval.

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1998--At the Voice Europe exhibition at Olympia in London this week, Connected Systems will showcase SimpliCT, its "revolutionary low-cost platform" (Computer Telephony, January 1998), the first of its kind to win CTR21 approval.

Previously, some of Connected Systems' OEMs had obtained homologation approvals on a per-product and per-country basis in various countries of Europe and in Australia. From now on, they no longer need to do this. The European Commission's new Common Technical Requirements directive CTR21 unifies into one standard and one certificate the approvals for telephony and emissions ("CE mark") in 18 European countries. Connected Systems' SimpliCT products have now added CTR21 to other international approvals already gained. The sum total of this is that under all of their many OEM labels, products based on the SimpliCT Dolphin and Oyster can now be connected directly to the public telephone network in Europe, Australia, the USA and Canada.
