(inc. 1850). , Kan., the system has quickly gained favor with operators. "They love the ease and capability of being able to switch to and from a magnet, grapple or shear," he remarks.

Young notes that with Quick Connect, the machine's operator can change attachments alone, without leaving the cab and without having to drive out pins or engage in other heavy tasks. And the complete change-out occurs in just minutes.

Bob McCarty, operations manager See datacenter manager.  at the CMC Springfield facility, agrees. "It's a tremendous time saver," he notes. "That the operator can do this without getting out of the cab saves a lot of time during each change out, and that really adds up."

The CMC Springfield facility acquired a Genesis mobile shear along with its newest MHL 350 and uses it to downsize Downsize

CMC has been receiving valuable processing help from its Genesis shear, and the accompanying Quick Connect system also allows the facility to keep its Fuchs MHL 350 scrap handler productive when the shear is either not needed or is receiving routine maintenance. "That's a real plus," says McCarty. "If you need a magnet or you need to service the shear, you just set the shear down, pick up the magnet, and you can he loading rail cars in a couple of minutes."

McCarty says the combination of the Genesis shear, the Quick Connect system, the tire-mounted Fuchs MHL 350 and the tremendous service from Road Builders Machinery has greatly improved the facility's productivity.

"It's nice to have someone like Road Builders to work with and service the crane," McCarty remarks. "They are a couple of hours away in Kansas City, but they'll come right to our yard with same-day or next-day service if we ever have any questions."
