Simmetrix Inc. Releases Simulation Modeling Suite 5.3 - A Broad Foundation for Simulation Modeling and Simulation-Based Design.

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. -- Simmetrix Inc., the leading provider of component software for simulation-based design and CAD/CAE CAD/CAE Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Engineering  integration, today announced the release of version 5.3 of the Simulation Modeling Suite. The CAD/CAE market has exhibited an increasing demand for simulation to validate performance early and often in the design process. Simmetrix understands this demand and has responded with its newest version of the Simulation Modeling Suite.

"We are very excited to announce the release of Simulation Modeling Suite 5.3 with the introduction of the XportSim module and enhancements to our existing modules," said Joe Walsh

For other people named Joe Walsh, see Joe Walsh (disambiguation).

Dr. Joseph Fidler "Joe" Walsh[] (born November 20, 1947)[1] is an American guitarist and rock musician.
, Vice President of Business Development at Simmetrix. "The addition of the XportSim module allows Simmetrix to provide a comprehensive base for next generation simulation modeling applications with enhanced persistence of analysis attributes, direct geometry access with small feature removal, automatic meshing, CAE (1) (Computer-Aided Engineering) Software that analyzes designs which have been created in the computer or that have been created elsewhere and entered into the computer.  results management, and mapping results between meshes. Our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers can now further the state-of-the-art of simulation modeling applications and Simulation-Based Design."

Simulation Modeling Suite 5.3 adds a new functional module to support creation of run-ready data (XportSim) along with e support of small feature removal and attribute persistence to support automatic regeneration of analysis models throughout complex design changes. The following highlights some of the enhanced capabilities offered by Simulation Modeling Suite 5.3:

ModelSim Enhancements

--Enhanced support of Abstract Model definition and persistence for ACIS, Granite, and Parasolid via native attributes.

--Added the ability to create an Abstract Model from an assembly hierarchy.

--Enhanced Abstract Model to handle Component classes.

--Extended Components definitions to support more than one component class.

--Enhanced query of the Abstract Model.

--Enhanced general attribute management functionality.

MeshSim Enhancements

--Enhanced curved element meshing.

--Enhanced Boundary Layer boundary layer

In fluid mechanics, a thin layer of flowing gas or liquid in contact with a surface (e.g., of an airplane wing or the inside of a pipe). The fluid in the boundary layer is subjected to shear forces.
 meshing.

--Introduced meshing of generalized extrusions

--Added ability to spatially locate elements in a mesh

--Extended mesh quality metrics

XportSim Released

--Provides the ability to export data from Simulation Modeling Suite as run-ready data based on the use of "pattern" files.

FieldSim Enhancements

--Added the ability to map a solution field from one mesh to a dissimilar mesh.

--Added support for variable order polynomial polynomial, mathematical expression which is a finite sum, each term being a constant times a product of one or more variables raised to powers. With only one variable the general form of a polynomial is a0xn+a  fields

--Enhanced support of time related fields.

--Added interface to visualization tools.

GeomSim Enhancements

--Enhanced small feature "removal" for removal of sliver edges and faces prior to meshing

--Extended geometry calculations In 3D graphics rendering, the computation of the base properties for each point (vertex) of the triangles forming the objects in the 3D world. See graphics pipeline.  & interrogation interrogation

In criminal law, process of formally and systematically questioning a suspect in order to elicit incriminating responses. The process is largely outside the governance of law, though in the U.S.
 for kernel access

--Extended support of Pro/Engineer part and assembly files

About Simmetrix Inc.

Simmetrix Inc. is a leading provider of OEM component technology, software tools, and services for Simulation-Based Design and CAD/CAE integration. Simmetrix' customers include simulation modeling software developers that provide a broad range of analysis applications including mechanical, electro-magnetic, fluids (CFD CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics ), and MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical Systems) Tiny mechanical devices that are built onto semiconductor chips and are measured in micrometers. In the research labs since the 1980s, MEMS devices began to materialize as commercial products in the mid-1990s.  simulation. Simmetrix' flagship product is the Simulation Modeling Suite, a comprehensive suite of component software tools to support Simulation Modeling directly from solid models providing problem definition, attribute management, CAE results management, and automatic mesh generation with support of mesh curving, mesh adaptivity, and anisotropic Refers to properties that differ based on the direction that is measured. For example, an anisotropic antenna is a directional antenna; the power level is not the same in all directions. Contrast with isotropic.  boundary layer mesh generation. The Simmetrix tools enable automated creation and management of simulation data suitable for finite element, finite volume, and boundary element analysis directly from design data. Simmetrix also provides custom Simulation-Based Design engineering solutions for manufacturing corporations and advanced research and development services related to simulation modeling and Simulation-Based Design. Simmetrix, founded in 1997, has offices in Clifton Park, NY, Plymouth, MI, and Clarkesville, GA. For more information, visit the Simmetrix web site at http://www.simmetrix.com.
