Silver Mini links three raids in city; APPEAL: Police in search for shotgun robbers seek information on car.

POLICE have linked a shotgun robbery in Coventry with two other raids in the city.

As previously reported, two men armed with a shotgun burst into the Hen Hen, in the Bible, man who was to have a memorial in the temple.  Lane Social Club in Beacon Road, Holbrooks at about 11.45pm on Sunday.

They forced staff and customers to lie on the floor and made one staff member open a safe.

Shots were fired at a door before the raiders fled with cash and sped off in a silver Mini parked outside the club.

No-one was hurt in the raid but one staff member at the club told the Telegraph that four of his colleagues were left "absolutely traumatised".

Now police have said they believe the same car was used in two other raids in the city.

On Saturday, February 24 between 7pm and 8pm, three men forced their way into a depot in Cyan Park, the new warehouse development on the A444.

They stole a number of electrical items and police said a silver Mini was seen in the car park during the incident.

And on the previous Monday, February 19, at 8.20am two armed men broke into a post office in Coventry Street Coventry Street is a short London street, within the City of Westminster, running from Piccadilly Circus to Leicester Square. The street is the main conduit between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square and at the weekend up to 150,000 , Stoke stoke

They threatened staff with a shotgun but escaped empty-handed in a silver Mini which was driven down Shakespeare Street towards Walsgrave Road.

Police said the Mini used in each incident had a black roof and black wing mirrors.

In each case the armed raiders were white and were wearing dark clothes with their faces covered.

 James Hempstock, from the robbery team at Chace Avenue police station in Willenhall, said: "We are investigating all three incidents and at this stage it does seem they are all linked.

"We are keen to speak to anyone who may have information on the offenders or the vehicle involved."
