Enablement solutions planned for Freescale's MPC8360E PowerQUICC II Pro family with QUICC Engine technology includes software development tools, real-time operating systems (RTOSs), embedded Linux(R) operating system distributions and protocol stacks from third-party suppliers, as well as application development boards from Freescale.

The newly introduced MPC8360E family is designed to meet the convergence, compatibility and cost requirements of next-generation wireless and wireline broadband equipment. QUICC Engine technology is an evolutionary leap forward for Freescale's communications processor module (CPM). It is engineered to deliver the packet throughput, interworking (standard) interworking - Systems or components, possibly from different origins, working together to perform some task. CodeWarrior QUICC Engine Utility
