Sight Angels.


Anna Rose can't imagine what she'd do without her eyeglasses eyeglasses or spectacles, instrument or device for aiding and correcting defective sight. Eyeglasses usually consist of a pair of lenses mounted in a frame to hold them in position before the eyes. . When she realized that many people in need of glasses could not afford them, she wanted to help. So, the 13-year-old from Elizabeth Colorado, started Sight Angels.

With help from her family and friends Anna solicited eyeglass eye·glass

 donations. She then set up a clinic to repair and distribute the glasses. So far, Sight Angels has provided more than 5,000 pairs of prescription glasses. "One of my favorite My Favorite is an independent synthpop band from Long Island, New York. They released two CDs: Love at Absolute Zero and Happiest Days of Our Lives. My Favorite broke up on September 14, 2005, when singer Andrea Vaughn left the band.  stories," says Anna, "is about a man who went to the clinic with circle-shaped frames and square lenses held together with tape. After he received his new glasses, he yelled, 'I can see!'"

An eighth-grader at Elizabeth Middle School, Anna was recently chosen as a national honoree hon·or·ee
