Siemens Nixdorf extends its partnership with Unicomp through a major agreement worth over $2.6 million.

IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  AS/400 users looking to migrate to open systems.

Unibol400 is a comprehensive open systems environment running under Unix and Windows-NT, providing migration and accessibility to open systems for AS/400 users. As a native solution, Unibol400 offers significant performance gains while maintaining the look and feel of the original AS/400 applications. This reduces to a minimum the amount of re-training required.

As a result of the partnership, Siemens Nixdorf and Unibol will focus jointly on software companies worldwide and will offer these companies the opportunity to extend their market into the open systems arena through the Siemens Nixdorf range of 64 bit MIPS (Million Instructions Per Second) The execution speed of a computer.
