Siemens Expands Mobile Network in Burkina Faso - Leading Mobile Provider Telmob Orders Infrastructure Products for 50 000 New Customers.

) - Siemens mobile for short - is expanding the GSM mobile phone network in Burkina Faso. The West African country today has approximately 220 000 mobile phone users. Following the expansion, around 50 000 new customers will be able to make mobile calls in Telmob's network, the mobile subsidiary of the state-owned telecom Onatel. Telmob is the leading mobile provider in Burkina Faso and today has around 85 000 customers.

Telmob offers mobile telephony primarily in the cities of Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso, whose networks were also set up by Siemens mobile. Thanks to the expansion order, more customers in the capital of Ouagadougou and along the main roads will soon be able to make calls to other major cities in Burkina Faso This is a list of cities and towns in Burkina Faso:

Burkina Faso, formerly Upper Volta, borders on the West African Sahara. The country has almost 12 million inhabitants and is three quarters the size of Germany.
