NORWALK, Conn. -- Siemens Business Services today announced it has been listed in the Leaders Quadrant of the prestigious North American Help Desk Outsourcing Magic Quadrant 2005 report(R) published by Gartner, Inc.* on January 30, 2006.

Co-authored by industry analysts Richard Matlus and William Maurer, the report positions service providers in one of four quadrants and provides prospective buyers of help desk services with an illustration of the competitive landscape for that particular market. Following in-depth interviews with the 24 service providers and their clients, each service provider is placed in the Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries or Niche Players quadrant.

During the evaluation process, service providers are measured on their completeness of vision and ability to execute. The Gartner evaluation criteria for completeness of vision includes contract and deal structure, financial stability, management practices, relationship management and operational tools and expertise. The ability to execute measurement focuses service-level agreements, metrics and measurement programs, effective resourcing, continuous improvement and quality assurance.

According to Gartner, IT services firms listed in the leaders quadrant are ESPs in the Leaders quadrant are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership positions in the market.
