Siegel's big day brings records.

Byline: NOTEBOOK By Rob Moseley The Register-Guard

STANFORD, Calif. - Usually a picture of concentration, quietly burning with intensity, Jared Siegel had reason to smile Saturday.

Oregon's senior placekicker equaled his season total with three field goals against Stanford, setting three school records in the process as the Ducks beat the Cardinal 16-13 at Stanford Stadium History

.

Already the leading scorer in UO history, Siegel established new marks for career field goals and attempts Saturday. He also hit a season-best 51-yard kick to give him five longer than 50 yards in his career, another school record.

"Regardless of how many times you do it, it still fires you up to knock one down from downtown," Siegel said.

It was an uplifting performance for the senior from Sacramento, who was just 3-of-6 on field-goal attempts this season entering Saturday. He didn't attempt a kick against Arizona a week earlier and missed his only attempt the week before that at Washington State, making it three weeks between his two successful attempts against Arizona State and his big day against the Cardinal.

Two weeks ago at Washington State, UO center Enoka Lucas Enoka Lucas (born April 29, 1984 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American football guard and center who is currently a free agent. The clock was stopped, meaning Lucas had to sit out the next play, even though he got up and jogged off the field.

That he left the field so quickly was good news for the Ducks, who were happy their center wasn't more seriously hurt, but bad for UO lineman Ian Reynoso, who had no chance to take a few snaps on the sideline sideline

"Today, I told him to stay down," Reynoso said Saturday, after Lucas broke the middle finger on his right hand in the first half and missed the rest of the game.
