SiNett Teams with SafeNet to Bring Secure, Integrated Enterprise Networking Products to Market; Collaboration Combines Industry's First Purpose-Built Unified Access Switch Processor with Leading Network Security Software Solution.

LAS VEGAS Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  -- SiNett Corporation, developer of groundbreaking silicon and software for next-generation network infrastructures, today announced a collaboration with SafeNet(R), Inc., a global leader in information security, to create a reference platform for secure, enterprise-class networking products that support integrated wireless and wired access. Addressing the critical need for end-to-end security in enterprise networks, this collaboration combines SiNett's OneEdge(TM), the market's first purpose-built switch processor for unified wireless and wired enterprise networks, with SafeNet's QuickSec(TM) 3.0, a leading network security software solution. Network equipment manufacturers will use the reference platform to quickly build highly secure wireless LAN A local area network that transmits over the air typically in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz unlicensed frequency band. It does not require line of sight between sender and receiver. Wireless base stations (access points) are wired to an Ethernet network and transmit a radio frequency over an area  and Unified Access (UA) switches and wireless LAN appliances.

"SiNett's OneEdge technology and SafeNet's QuickSec VPN (Virtual Private Network) A private network that is configured within a public network (a carrier's network or the Internet) in order to take advantage of the economies of scale and management facilities of large networks.  Security products are a natural fit for integrated wired/wireless network security," said Henk Pruim, vice president and general manager for SafeNet's OEM/Networking Business Unit. "This combined platform provides a compelling solution for our network OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers to efficiently build state-of-the-art secure network infrastructure gear with full support for wired and wireless capabilities."

SafeNet's QuickSec 3.0 is a full-featured SDK (Software Developer's Kit) See developer's toolkit and Windows SDK.

for OEMs developing high-performance network solutions -- at a fraction of the time and cost required for developing these systems in-house. QuickSec delivers unique and mission-critical features, including IPSec VPN with IKEv2 authentication (1) Verifying the integrity of a transmitted message. See message integrity, e-mail authentication and MAC.

(2) Verifying the identity of a user logging into a network.
. A demonstration version of SafeNet's QuickSec will be included on SiNett's OneEdge-based OneRunner(TM), the industry's first reference design platform for unified wireless/wired enterprise networks. Built from the ground up to unify wireless and wired enterprise network architectures, OneEdge's single-chip design provides high-performance, multi-gigabit wireless and wired packet processing, robust security, advanced mobility and sophisticated traffic management.

"Network equipment manufacturers demand the highest level of security for enterprise networks. SafeNet's security software perfectly complements the high performance VPN tunnel processing, access control, firewall and other security features included in our OneEdge devices. The result is a reference platform with best-in-class network security for wireless and unified access," stated Shrikant Sathe, co-founder and vice president of marketing and operations of SiNett Corporation. "This collaboration is just the first step in our strategic effort to establish an ecosystem of partners that provide complementary software and hardware technologies for building unified wireless and wired network infrastructures for the enterprise."

SiNett will demonstrate OneRunner, its OneEdge-based reference design platform, at Networld+Interop, May 3-5, 2005 in Las Vegas. SiNett will be located in booth #1385. QuickSec 3.0 running on the OneRunner platform will be available in June.
