SiNett's OneRunner PCI Converts PCs into Next-Generation Wireless LAN Appliances; World's First Low Cost Appliance-on-a-Card Enables High-Performance, Feature-Rich Centralized Wireless Management on Any X86-Based Server.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- SiNett Corporation, developer of groundbreaking silicon and software for next-generation unified wired-wireless enterprise access network infrastructures, today announced the availability of OneRunner PCI (1) (Payment Card Industry) See PCI DSS.

(2) (Peripheral Component Interconnect) The most widely used I/O bus (peripheral bus).
as part of its product portfolio. The OneRunner PCI card A circuit board that plugs into the computer's PCI bus and contains the control electronics for a peripheral device. Starting in the latter half of the 1990s, PCI became very popular. See PCI.  is based on SiNett's award winning OneEdge(R) switch processor. For the first time ever, a PCI card can enable PC and networking OEMs to cost effectively and quickly add centralized enterprise-class wireless processing and network management capabilities to any general-purpose, X86-based hardware platform running wireless software.

With a growing number of wireless clients -- laptops, PDAs, dual mode VoWLAN phones, etc. -- OneRunner PCI is ideal for centrally managed wireless network deployments. Such deployments use simple, low cost, "thin" access points (AP) that are managed by a wireless appliance. SiNett's OneRunner PCI can act as a wireless appliance and deliver advanced mobility, security and QoS features along with unprecedented native wireless datapath processing performance at multi-gigabit throughput. These features are critical requirements for enterprises offering next-generation wireless services, including voice over wireless LAN See voice over Wi-Fi.  (WLAN See wireless LAN.

"We are offering OEMs a tremendous value proposition," said Shiri Kadambi, SiNett's co-founder and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. . "With our OneRunner PCI, a manufacturer can take any PC platform running wireless software and easily transform it into a future proof, WLAN appliance with a multi-fold increase in performance. We are making the enterprise wireless triple play a reality. Once again, SiNett is providing key enabling technologies that advance the deployment of wireless networks in the enterprise."

SiNett's OneRunner PCI is based on the company's OneEdge(R) Switch Processor. SiNett's OneEdge(R) single-chip architecture provides several significant benefits, including a dramatic increase in wireless packet processing performance -- 4Gbps worst case, in full duplex (Computers) arranged so that the information may be transmitted in both directions simultaneously; - of communications channels between computers; contrasted with half duplex(a).  mode for all major functions, support for all emerging wireless standards, such as CAPWAP CAPWAP Control and Provisioning of Wireless Access Points (LETF)  for provisioning and 802.11n for high bandwidth radios, in hardware. Additionally, SiNett's OneEdge(R) provides fine granularity bandwidth provisioning and sophisticated QoS to support VoWLAN and video over WLAN, and a large number of configurable user queues for support of seamless mobility. SiNett's OneEdge(R) security features include data encryption, VPNs and hooks for intrusion prevention, all implemented in hardware.
