Her father was Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., and her mother was Rose Kennedy. the inaugural USA Tennis Special Populations National Community Service Award in February at an awards banquet before more than 450 community tennis leaders at the USA Tennis Community Tennis Development Workshop in Las Vegas, Nev. The USTA bestows the annual award upon a program or program leader that has demonstrated continued excellence, dedication and service in tennis for special populations, or those with disabilities.
