Should sports teams be coed?


These days, both girls and boys are taking to sports fields to get exercise, develop skills, and have some fun. In the past, only all-girl and all-boy teams existed. But an increasing number of schools and communities are offering coed sports as a way to save money or to form leagues if there wouldn't would·n't

Supporters say that coed teams are a great way for girls and boys to learn how to work together. They also ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to play. But opponents of coed teams claim that girls who play against boys are more likely to get hurt or discouraged dis·cour·age
