Shot blast deflashing.

State-of-the-art cryogenic shot blast deflashing and/or deburring machines are available from the company. Customer information is stored into the on-board computer so that deflashing-deburring information only has to be entered once. Thereafter, all the operator has to do is enter the part (program) number or with the use of the bar code wand, scan the bar graph, and the computer will automatically recall the stored data and set up the parameters. These systems are used in the medical and biomedical fields to manufacture parts such as catheters, spinal disks, surgical tools, prosthetics, etc. Customers are said to have conducted research which shows whether the cryogenic process caused any changes, either to the material itself or to the finished part. To date, no evidence has been found where changes occurred.
