Shorter closure cuts PET bottle weight & cost.


A new class of beverage closures for PET carbonated car·bon·ate

) bottles features a shorter design that cuts overall bottle weight and cost. The new 28-mm Xtra-Lok mini closure from Alcoa Closure Systems International, Indianapolis, has reduced thread depth. That enables shortening the neck finish--the heaviest area of the bottle--and reducing the PET bottle finish weight by 1.4 g, or 27%, versus the industry-standard 1810 PCO PCO 1 Patient complains of 2 Polycystic ovaries, see there  finish on CSD bottles of up to 20 oz, says John Grainda, Alcoa marketing manager.
