Short-term limitation.

Whereas chicken pox chicken pox or varicella (vâr'əsĕl`ə), infectious disease usually occurring in childhood. It is believed to be caused by the same herpesvirus that produces shingles. is caused by one virus, a "cold" is a set of symptoms that can be caused by more than 200 distinct viruses. A better example for short-term immunity might have been pertussis pertussis: see whooping cough. or tetanus.
