Contraction in the volume of available money or credit that results in a general decline in prices. A less extreme condition is known as disinflation.

Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  companies, Pasadena Capital Partners, targeting buyouts in the $50 million - $150 million range. His quarry: management buyouts, recapitalizations of family or founder-owned businesses, and orphaned public companies or divisions of larger companies. "Many buyout firms that had success investing in middle-market buyouts have raised dramatically larger equity funds and are now pursuing larger transactions," said Annick, whose resume includes the $250 million buyout of Dollar Financial Group.
