S-2367 is a small molecule, oral, once-daily neuropeptide Y Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a 36 amino acid peptide neurotransmitter found in the brain and autonomic nervous system. It augments the vasoconstrictor effects of noradrenergic neurons. (NPY NPY neuropeptide-Y. ) Y5 receptor antagonist discovered by Shionogi Research Laboratories. NPY is an orexigenic neurotransmitter neurotransmitter, chemical that transmits information across the junction (synapse) that separates one nerve cell (neuron) from another nerve cell or a muscle. Neurotransmitters are stored in the nerve cell's bulbous end (axon). involved in appetite, energy intake, and energy consumption.
