The county will get 20 percent of the proceeds from the sales; another 10 percent goes to Heart of Los Angeles Youth, a local non-profit that offers fine arts and other programs to 1,300 students in the Rampart District.

The remaining 70 percent will cover Global Branding's cost, "and whatever profit we can make," Brail said. She wouldn't disclose the program's goals. "We're obviously hoping it will be a sizable sum."

The new shell was conceived to improve the acoustics at the Bowl.
