Sheffield Continues to Increase Moonlight Copper Grades.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Sheffield Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: SLD), (Pink Sheets: SLDOF) and (FWB: S2Q) is pleased to report results from its core drilling program designed to confirm the structural and ore control parameters at its Moonlight Copper Project in Plumas County, California, and herein reports copper and silver analyses of drill holes 06MN-12, 06MN-11 and 06MN-8, all of which are "HQ" gauge diamond drill holes. Holes 06MN-12 and 06MN-11 were drilled from the same collar location as drill holes 06MN-9 and 06MN-10, which holes were previously reported on November 20 and November 22, 2006.

Hole 06MN-12 was drilled at -46 degrees on an azimuth of 271 degrees and intersected 78 metres (255.9 ft.) of copper mineralization grading 0.50% copper and 9.6 gpt silver. Hole 06MN-12 was oriented to cross the drill trace of historical hole ML-506 (97.5m grading 0.30% copper) and ended near historical hole ML-34 (64 metres grading 0.27% copper). The copper and silver grades recovered from 06MN-12 are exceptional improvements over the grades Placer Dome reported from its drilling in the 1960's.

Hole 06MN-11 was drilled at -45 degrees on an azimuth of 186 degrees and intersected 68 metres (233.1 ft.) of 0.28% copper, including a 28 metre (91.9 ft.) interval grading 0.39% copper.

Hole 06MN-8 was drilled at -45 degrees on an azimuth of 62 degrees from the same location as the collar of hole 05MN-1. Hole 06MN-8 intersected 52 metres (170.6 ft.) of 0.48% copper and in a deeper intersection a further 86 metres (282.2 ft.) of 0.35% copper. The copper grades intersected in 06MN-8 compare favorably with adjacent historical drill holes ML-225 (81.4 metres or 300 ft. grading 0.33% copper) and ML-226 (67.1 metres or 210 ft. containing 0.29% copper).

Sheffield has now completed 3,134 metres (10,281 ft.) of HQ gauge diamond drilling in 14 holes with assays still to be reported from 2 drill holes. All of the Sheffield drilling is located in the Moonlight deposit. The results of Sheffield's drilling will be used to validate the historical Placer drill data when both data sets are incorporated in a new independent resource estimation scheduled to begin in December.

Quality Control and Assurance

A rigorous assay Quality Control and Assurance program (QC/QA) is in place, including systematic inclusion of standard sample materials, blank samples, duplicate samples and inter-laboratory check assaying. Samples are sent in sealed containers to ALS Chemex in Reno, Nevada. ALS Chemex is a recognized ISO 9000 registered laboratory. The control samples and duplicate assay results received for the drilling program demonstrated to Sheffield Resources that the results are considered reliable. Copper is determined by atomic absorption spectrometry after a four acid digestion of a 0.4-gram aliquot. A second copper determination plus analyses of silver and other metals are made by ICP-AES after a three acid digestion of a 0.4-gram aliquot.

The exploration program is managed by Robert Wetzel, a California registered professional geologist and qualified person. David M Jenkins, P.Geo., and president of Sheffield Resources is designated the qualified person for the Moonlight Project.
