Shearography.

In order to make the Ringtread system technology accessible to all retreaders, this machine range is available in several versions, including the Series 2000 and Series 1000. The Series 2000 includes tire retreading machines for retreaders with a production of 80-120 tires per eight-hour shift. The Series 1000 is designed for medium-sized retreaders with a production of up to 60 tires per shift. The ITT-S 3000 (integrity Tire Tester) system provides nondestructive inspection, which uses shearography technology. In the standard ITT-S system, the tire is loaded manually, with automatic loading available as an option. The machine can identify defects larger than 5 [mm.sup.2] with an inspection time of approximately four minutes. Although the precision of the ITT-S 1000 is very close to the ITT-S 3000 model, the software is less flexible. The machine inspects eight segments together, but does not have the option to change the number of segments to be inspected. In addition, loading is done manually, although a lift is available as an option. The total inspection time takes four minutes. The ITT-S 3000 SFERA is a fully automatic machine and it can accurately identify the ply separation before the rasping process, and can also be used for inspection at the end of the retreading process. Shearographic inspection analyzes the tire in sections, from a minimum of six to a maximum of 12, showing defects (mainly separations and oxidation) present inside the casing on a monitor.
